Our Bar is named in honor of Michael J Moran, a street poet born in 1794 in Faddle Abbey, off Black Pits, in the Liberties of Dublin. He regaled passers-by with quotes and poems of his own creation, beginning each performance with

“Ye sons and daughters of Erin, Gather round poor Zozimus, Yer friend; Listen Boys, Until yez hear my charming song so dear”
